Your attention is drawn to the following which apply to the Rowland Hospital Cup:
Contacting P&D Competition Secretary
- The Draw Sheets sent to each Competing Club contains instructions on how to contact the P&D’s Competition Secretary with the Match Result and how to send the Match Score Cards.
- Please ensure that the Captain of your Side(s) is given a Copy, as failing to follow them May Lead to their Side being Scratched from Following Rounds.
Rowland Cup Rules
- The Rowland Cup is Played over a Maximum of 18 Ends on All Four Rinks.
- If Match Score is Level after all Rinks have Played 18 Ends, then the Nominated Rink will Play the Extra End(s) required to achieve the Final Match Score.
- All Clubs must ensure their Captains of the Day know the P&D Competition Rules, especially Rule 15 (Rowland Cup)
- Failure to comply with any of these Rules will lead to the Elimination of the Defaulting Side from the rest of the Competition.
- In the case of a Dispute, these Rulings will be Strictly Applied.
- Remember, if you wish to Raise a Dispute, please contact me within 24Hours of when the Match was Played
- If NO Challenge is made by either party, both will be scratched from the Competition.

Postponed or Abandoned Games
The P&D’s Competition Secretary MUST:
- Be Contacted by the Home Captain if a Match is Postponed or Abandoned due to the Weather, as soon as possible BUT no Later than 10am the Day After the game was due to have been played.
- Be Sent when a Game is Abandoned, by the Captains of Both Sides, Copies of their Scorecards at the point of Abandonment.

Until the Semi-Finals, the Home Side Pays
Dress Code
- Where a Club has its own Dress Code for Clothing “Above AND Below the Waist”, Players MUST ALL Wear that Clothing for ALL Rounds
- If a Club Does NOT have a “Below the Waist” Dress Code:
- Until the Semi-Finals and Finals, Players MUST ALL Wear Grey Trousers or Shorts.
- For the Semi-Finals and Finals, Players MUST ALL Wear White Trousers or Shorts.
- If a Club Does NOT have any Dress Code:
- Until the Semi-Finals and Finals, Players MUST Wear White Shirts and Grey Trousers or Shorts.
- For the Semi-Finals and Finals, Players MUST Wear White Shirts and Trousers or Shorts.
NOTE: Any Shorts Worn MUST Be In Line with the Following BE Regulations:
- Only Shorts Manufactured for the Sport of Bowls May Be Worn.
- Shell Suits, Jeans and Shorts Other Than Those Manufactured for the Sport of Bowls are NOT Acceptable.
